Rooted in faith, growing toward tomorrow.

A Diocesan Catholic school in the heart of Malinao, forming Guardians to be like St. Joseph in junior and senior high school and beyond.

Guardians of the school choir celebrate their Catholic League championship, certificates and medals in hand.

Our Core Values

Selfless. Just. Achiever.

Their initials spell the name every Guardian carries: St. Joseph’s Academy.

Selfless

Formed to give before taking, in quiet service to God and neighbor.

Just

Fair in judgment, honest in action, faithful to what is right.

Achiever

Striving for excellence in every calling, from the classroom outward.

Our Vision & Mission

The Vision

A Christ-centered community inspired by the virtues of St. Joseph.

The Mission

St. Joseph’s Academy of Malinao, Aklan, Inc. forms integral human persons by developing competent learners, nurturing excellence in their chosen fields, and guiding them to become faithful servants of the Church and responsible members of society.

Holistic Formation

Formed whole, not just taught.

A Guardian grows in four dimensions, academic, spiritual, communitarian, and humanitarian. Here is what that whole-person formation looks like at St. Joseph’s.

Academic

A path that asks their best

From Grade 7 to Grade 12, Guardians follow the MATATAG and Strengthened Senior High curriculum, choosing the STEM, ASSH, or BE track that fits where they are headed, guided by teachers who know them by name.

Guardians are honored each year for Academic Excellence, and a separate Top 10 Outstanding Students award recognizes contributions across the four pillars of formation.

Spiritual

Faith, lived together

Faith here is not a subject on the timetable. It is the whole school gathered in one church for First Friday Mass, the hush of the annual recollection, and prayer that begins an ordinary morning.

It is the ground the other three dimensions grow from. Before a Guardian is a scholar, an athlete, or a volunteer, they are formed to live what they believe, with the Diocese of Kalibo behind them.

Communitarian

Rooted in the town that raised them

Guardians grow up inside the life of Malinao. Year after year they take part in the celebrations that shape the town, from the Daigon of Pascua sa Malinao to the Ati-Atihan and the school’s own Foundation Day.

They carry the school’s name beyond the campus too, in choral, cultural, and athletic competitions across the parish, the town, and the province, and they come home with titles more often than not.

Humanitarian

Service beyond the gate

Formation is not finished until it turns outward. Guardians run outreach programs and visit communities in need, carrying help, presence, and the school’s care to families beyond the campus. It is where selfless stops being a word on the wall and becomes something a Guardian does.

Our Programs

One continuous path, Grade 7 through 12.

St. Joseph’s offers Junior and Senior High School on DepEd’s newest curriculum, so a Guardian can grow from first year to graduate without ever leaving the Grove.

Junior High School

Grades 7 to 10, built on MATATAG

Every Junior High Guardian follows MATATAG, DepEd’s strengthened core that trims the crowded old load to go deeper on the essentials: solid literacy and numeracy, and the values that shape good character, in classes small enough that a teacher still knows every name.

Senior High School

The Strengthened Senior High School

Our Senior High runs the new Strengthened SHS, a focused three-term program where every Guardian specializes early, choosing one of three clusters and rounding it out with full academic electives.

01

STEM

Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. For the problem-solvers headed toward engineering, medicine, and the sciences.

02

BE

For the builders and leaders who will run and grow enterprises of their own.

03

ASSH

For the storytellers, public servants, and lifelong questioners.

Full academic electives across every cluster, so each Guardian shapes their final two years around where they are headed.
